According to the sources, the Pakistan team for the World Cup is likely to be announced in mid-May. 

The Pakistan team for the mega event can be announced after the Ireland series.

The May 1st deadline is for the preliminary list only, the final squad can be announced by May 25th.

It should be noted that the PCB announced the team for the 2024 World Cup after the initial deadline.

According to the sources the national selectors will announce the team for the series against Ireland and England in the next couple of days.

It should be noted that Pakistan has to play 3 T20 matches in Ireland and 4 in England.

According to sources, the national selectors are waiting for the fitness reports of Haris Rauf, Azam Khan, Irfan Niazi and Mohammad Rizwan.
