Finn Allen's remarkable innings, scoring 137 off 62 balls, propelled New Zealand to a series-clinching victory over Pakistan in the third T20. His performance, featuring 16 sixes – equalling the record for the most in a men's T20 international innings – guided the Black Caps to a formidable 224-7.
Despite Babar Azam's 58 off 37 deliveries, Pakistan fell short, managing only 179-7 in Dunedin, resulting in a 45-run loss.
With this win, New Zealand secured an insurmountable 3-0 lead in the five-match series. Allen surpassed Brendon McCullum's 2012 record of 123 and matched Hazratullah Zazai's 2019 feat of 16 sixes.
Notably, Allen's onslaught included taking 27 runs off one over from Haris Rauf, prompting the replacement of the ball three times.
Reflecting on his achievement, Allen expressed satisfaction with the team's collective effort, emphasizing the importance of competitiveness in securing the series.
